Can you set everything up for me?

Yes! You get the Professional Implementation Service included with your Analyzify purchase at no extra cost. Our team handles the entire setup process for you, ensuring all integrations are correctly configured and validated.

If you prefer to set up Analyzify yourself, you get a user-friendly interface that makes the whole process very simple, typically taking just 5-15 minutes.

1. More Data

Analyzify offers several advantages over Shopify's native Google Analytics 4 (GA4) integration. Most notably, it captures events that Shopify cannot. These events include:

  • view_item_list
  • view_cart
  • select_item
  • remove_from_cart
  • add_shipping_info
  • add_contact_info
  • add_address_info
  • payment_option
  • coupon_defined
  • accelerated_checkout
  • add_to_wishlist
  • nav_click

In addition to capturing these events, Analyzify enables you to configure and benefit from additional parameters sent with these events and other shared events (such as view_item, begin_checkout, and purchase).

For example, with Analyzify, you can choose from four different ID formats like SKU to collect GA4 data in the format you need. You can also enhance your reports with extra parameters like

  • content_group
  • coupon_code
  • payment_type
  • shipping_tier
  • value (all e-commerce events)
  • discount (item and event level)
  • item_barcode
  • Enhanced hashed user data and hashing feature

making your Google Analytics data more detailed and actionable.

2. Consent Modelling

Moreover, Analyzify supports Advanced Consent Mode for Google integrations. If you need to comply with consent regulations, Analyzify allows you to transmit cookieless data for users who do not provide consent, enabling Google's Consent Modeling feature. This helps minimize data loss from users who decline consent.

On the other hand, Shopify's native GA4 integration operates with Basic Consent Mode, which only tracks data from users who give explicit permission. As a result, it does not support Google's Consent Modeling feature. With Analyzify, if you have a consent-based setup, you can gain access to more comprehensive metrics, including total users, sessions, and purchases.

You can find the features and breakdown of Analyzify’s product by clicking here.

Not at all. Our solution is designed for easy implementation with no coding required. Plus, you get Professional Implementation Service at no extra cost. Our experts can handle your setup and help you.

Analyzify's server-side tracking solutions cover Google Analytics 4, Meta (Facebook), and TikTok. Additional integrations will be available soon.

Analyzify offers a complete server-side tracking solution at a fraction of the cost compared to other providers, who typically charge $300–$400/month plus $1,000–$2,000 in setup fees. There are no hidden fees—professional implementation and regular validation/audit services are included to keep your setup running smoothly.

We apply a 20% discount on the 2nd store if the stores are identical (theme, apps, products). The same goes for 3rd, 4th, or more stores. In a summary, you will pay the full amount for the 1st store and you will get a 20% discount on the following stores. You can read the details on our related support page.

Analyzify enriches and securely transmits data directly from Shopify to analytics and ad platforms, significantly improving GA4 (purchase event) tracking accuracy by up to 98% compared to native integrations.

Yes, the server-side model continues to track user behavior even when ad-blockers are in place.

Yes, continuous and extensive support is included at no extra cost for general feature setups. You’ll also receive one professional implementation service per year (for setups or migrations) and validation or audit. Customizations that require significant development may incur extra charges, but we’ll always inform you in advance.

Merchants who use server-side tracking typically see higher EMQ (event match quality) scores on Meta and TikTok and significantly improve conversion accuracy across platforms. The GA4 integration reaches up to 98% purchase tracking accuracy, helping you make confident, data-driven marketing decisions.

Absolutely. Analyzify’s server-side tracking helps you stay GDPR-compliant while significantly improving your tracking accuracy. Even when users decline cookies, we securely send all order data to GA4—so your revenue and order metrics stay accurate and complete.

Keep in mind that GDPR is a legal framework, which means session and attribution data (like traffic sources) cannot be tracked without user consent. However, your core data—such as purchase and revenue tracking—remains reliable, even under strict consent settings.

All temporary data processing takes place on AWS servers located in Frankfurt, Germany to ensure compliance with regional data regulations.

For further assistance, feel free to contact our support team through your Analyzify dashboard.

We don’t recommend using both at the same time. When the native Meta app and Analyzify are active simultaneously, two different Meta Pixels are loaded on your store, which can lead to tracking issues and data conflicts.

Analyzify temporarily processes data on AWS Frankfurt servers in the EU, ensuring compliance with regional data storage requirements. No permanent data storage occurs.

The Analyzify app offers a more comprehensive GA4 integration than Shopify's native integration. It includes tracking more events and parameters, provides data layers, and offers hands-on support for setup and customization. Analyzify also integrates with other platforms and provides in-depth data for better insights. However, unlike Shopify's free native integration, Analyzify is a paid solution.

With Analyzify Server-Side, we host and manage everything for you—server infrastructure, costs, and maintenance are all included in your subscription. Data is processed temporarily on our secure AWS servers (Frankfurt) and transmitted via API.

With Analyzify Google Cloud Server-Side, we set up a server-side tagging environment directly inside your own Google Cloud account. You’ll be responsible for the ongoing server costs and maintenance. This setup includes both web and server containers in Google Tag Manager and provides full ownership and control over your tracking infrastructure.

Merchants who use Meta server-side tracking see higher EMQ (event match quality) scores and significantly better conversion data.

The standard yearly plan covers up to 10,000 orders per month. If you need more, you can increase your limit with a one-time annual add-on:

• 20,000 orders/month → +$300/year

• 30,000 orders/month → +$600/year

These charges only apply if you exceed the included limits.

There are no other additional fees—ever. We do not store your credit card information, and all payments are securely processed through Shopify.

There can be multiple reasons behind that. Make sure to check our complete guide on the Shopify & Google Analytics 4 integration to learn about common mistakes and best practices for a seamlessly working Google Analytics.

Yes, Analyzify’s comprehensive server-side tracking can fully replace your existing tracking apps, simplifying and centralizing your setup. The only exception is product feed functionality—you should continue using your preferred feed app alongside Analyzify.

There can be many reasons for this, so we advise you to check our in-depth guide for better understanding and solutions: Discrepancy Between Google Analytics & Shopify.

The Purchase event is the only event that can be reliably tracked server-side because all the necessary data is fully available in Shopify’s backend (under the Orders tab). Unlike platforms such as Meta or TikTok, GA4 API doesn’t function as an alternative to client-side tracking or a parallel tracking system. This allows us to send the Purchase event to GA4 with complete accuracy and without relying on the browser.

On the other hand, events like view_item, add_to_cart, or begin_checkout happen on the storefront and depend on user interactions in the browser. To track these via server-side, we would need to use Shopify Webhooks (which don’t capture every interaction in real time) or inject custom browser code—both of which still rely on client-side behavior to some extent.

Since these events are directly or indirectly tied to client-side tracking, sending them server-side wouldn’t significantly improve data accuracy. In fact, if the client-side tracking fails (e.g., due to ad blockers or browser restrictions), it usually prevents the entire session from being tracked including the page_view event that’s essential for GA4 attribution—making even server-side data for these events unreliable.

That’s why Analyzify focuses on GA4 server-side tracking for the Purchase event only—where we can guarantee high accuracy and a clean data flow.

Ideally, yes. Shopify Analytics apps (like Analyzify) increase accuracy, enrich the data, and solve known problems with the Shopify - Google Analytics connection.

We continuously enhance our dashboards and reports to provide accurate and actionable data.

Global Site Tag (aka. GTag) is responsible for sending data from your website to Google Ads for remarketing and performance enhancement purposes. This error happens when you don’t have a proper remarketing setup on your website. Follow our Google Ads – Shopify playbook to make sure your settings are correct. You can also contact Analyzify’s support team if you are an existing client.

Yes! Our solution is built specifically for Shopify and works seamlessly with all Shopify features and checkout processes.

The pros of using Shopify's native GA4 integration include its ease of integration and no additional cost. However, it has several cons. It does not include all the events and parameters a comprehensive GA4 e-commerce integration should have. Important e-commerce events such as view item list, view cart, remove from cart, and add shipping info are not included. Additionally, it does not provide data layers or hands-on support for setup or tweaking settings.

We offer enhanced server-side tracking at SMB-friendly pricing. Get all the benefits of server-side tracking at a fraction of competitor costs.

No. Our server-side tracking operates independently of your website, actually reducing the number of client-side scripts running on your store.

Most merchants complete setup within 10 minutes using our guided wizard. Our support team is always available to help if needed.

Google Analytics 4 (GA4) is the latest version of Google Analytics, designed to provide more insightful and relevant data to help businesses understand customer behavior across platforms. Unlike Universal Analytics (UA), GA4 uses an event-based tracking system, making it more flexible and comprehensive in capturing and analyzing user interactions. GA4 is also more privacy-centric, with features that handle data restrictions and gaps.

Yes, Analyzify is perfectly compatible with non-Shopify Plus stores. With the removal of Shopify's previous limitations on checkout customization for regular plans, there are no longer any restrictions related to tracking across different Shopify plans. This means that Analyzify can be used perfectly with non-Shopify Plus stores as well, allowing full tracking capabilities on every page of the Shopify store, including all steps of the checkout process.

Absolutely! Analyzify is engineered to provide accurate data you can trust - so you can make confident decisions. • Comprehensive data integration across multiple marketing and analytics platforms (Google Analytics 4, Google Ads, Microsoft Clarity, and others)
  • Enhanced data transmission that offers more detailed insights compared to standard tracking solutions
  • Centralized tracking management through a single dashboard
  • Built-in tracking problem detection and resolution
  • Flexible setup options and custom integrations to match your specific needs

These features help ensure accurate data collection for your marketing and analytics tools, allowing you to make more informed business decisions based on comprehensive data.

Analyzify's setup includes all the events mentioned here. If you want to track custom events:

a) You can add new data layers or listeners and edit your Google Tag Manager container.
b) You can ask for our support team’s help. There might be an additional charge depending on the workload.

Our data layers work perfectly on the Online Store 2.0 themes too. However, some Shopify stores are quite unique in terms of theme coding, apps, and structure, so our data layer codes may not always deliver the best results for every store.

If you encounter a problem with any specific event (e.g. Add-to-Cart), our support team will jump in and perform customizations either on our data layers or your theme files for your specific case, and resolve the issue. Rarely, it is not possible to make data layers fully functional for technical reasons - especially if you are using many external apps. In those cases, we can get your developers' help. Please note that we do all changes on the duplicated themes and share the detailed changelog with you.

Setting up Analyzify from the start of your store has several advantages such as;

With Analyzify in place from the beginning, you can also be confident that you are set up correctly from day one. Also, you can schedule your setup according to your launch timeline and our team will be flexible with the implementation schedules.

If you purchase Analyzify, your support period will be extended to start from the day you make your store public. During this time, our team will be available to assist with any technical issues or questions to ensure a successful implementation.

It is approximately an 8-minute process, and you’ll be presented with detailed video tutorials for each step.

We provide three months of support after purchase, which can be extended upon request. Our support includes onboarding guidance, setup assistance, data validation, and more. However, there are certain topics that fall outside our product scope, such as support for 3rd party apps, custom code, data reporting, Google Ads optimization, and page speed issues. For a detailed breakdown of the support we provide and the topics we can assist with, please refer to our support guideline.

If you are running a multi-store business on Shopify, Analyzify still needs to be installed on each store. Our team will do the onboarding and set up for you - and make sure everything is being tracked in the best practices.

We apply a 20% discount on the 2nd store if the stores are identical (theme, apps, products). The same goes for 3rd, 4th or more stores. In a summary, you will pay the full amount for the 1st store and you will get a 20% discount on the following stores.

The discounts are not applied automatically. So you will need to purchase the app for all of your stores - and ask our support team to refund the 20% discounts.

GTM has countless benefits, but its main purpose is to help you manage your marketing / tracking pixels from one place without needing a developer.

By using the same data sets, you can set up Google Analytics 4, Google Ads conversion tracking, Bing pixels, and many others. Check out our related post to learn even more benefits.

A data layer is a JavaScript object that collects data on your website in a standardized way. You can learn more about data layers and their use for Shopify merchants in this video.

Analyzify tracks many events/actions that Shopify's native integrations do not, such as product list visits, product list/category clicks, etc. Moreover, Analyzify includes data layers, Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics 4, and many other integrations that the native Shopify doesn’t offer.

Analyzify also provides you with a well-designed data layer, which means you could extend your 3rd party implementations with other marketing partners easily. Analyzify offers you direct support to configure your GA account to get the best out of the data layers like content grouping, custom dimensions, goal setup, etc. Last but not least, Analyzify comes with a detailed Google Data Studio report through which you can see all the important reports in detail.

Yes! Analyzify is totally a beginner-friendly app, and you don't need to have any prior technical knowledge. We offer technical guidance, FAQs, and video tutorials on each step, and our support team is always just one message away!

If you encounter a problem with any specific event (e.g. Add-to-Cart), our support team will jump in and perform customizations either on our data layers or your theme files for your specific case, and resolve the issue. Please note that we do all changes on the duplicated themes and share the detailed changelog with you.

We don’t host any data - all yours! As a European company, we care about your company and your client’s privacy. Our servers or properties are NOT USED at all.

We may need temporary access to your Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics, and Google Ads properties only if you need our help. We will kindly ask you to cancel our access once we are done with it.

That’s quite common for us - and Analyzify also takes care of the issues you’re having with your existing setup.

Our setup & tool includes an audit as well. We check your current data situation, existing tags & accounts, and either apply or suggest the best practices.

Yes, Analyzify's tags use Google Shopping app's product ID format by default. We recommend using the official Google app for your product feed & re-marketing pixels, and Analyzify for your Google Ads conversion tracking.

Definitely yes! Analyzify's advanced data layers and Google Tag Manager setup increases the accuracy on your Google Ads tracking. We do send more data to Google Ads to increase the performance in general.

We have interactive troubleshooting guides to help you detect and fix any possible issues.

We strongly recommend that you read our Shopify - "Google Ads Playbook" if you wish to have a great understanding of the topic. You can be sure that there won't be any mess if you use the official Google app for remarketing events and Analyzify for conversion tracking.

Our support team is also always ready to help if you have trouble solving your issues.

Definitely yes. You can always use the variables and triggers in Analyzify's GTM container to make new tags according to your needs.

Just like the regular version of Analyzify, our server-side tagging setup will be served under your properties. We will not collect or pass any data to our properties. All the data will flow into your own Google Analytics, Google Cloud and GTM accounts. Our team will be responsible for the setup and validation.

Technically no, but practically, yes. You can use GTM without using data layers, but if you do that, you won't be able to pass specific data (e.g. product ID, name, order total revenue, etc.).

You can only use the general tags like Google Analytics 4 - which works on all pages. However, you can't use Google Ads Conversion Tracking properly, because you again need some information like the order ID, revenue, currency, and a few others.

Analyzify provides open-source data layers for Shopify merchants.

Definitely yes. GTM is useable for non-Shopify Plus stores as well. You can add the GTM container to theme.liquid file and order processing additional scripts.

The only limitation that regular Shopify stores have is NOT being allowed to edit the checkout process due to checkout.liquid file limitations.

Purchase tracking and other user behavior metrics/reports are so crucial and you will still have a majority of the events/reports.

Google Tag Manager and all other tracking codes will still WORK on every page + order processed (thank you page) but the checkout steps won’t be included.

Analyzify experts can take care of your GDPR setup completely at no extra cost! Simply install the app and choose the “Done-For-You GDPR” option as your setup method, and our team will provide you with a GDPR audit, consent management tool adjustments, and validation & tests.

Please note that showing a cookie notice banner doesn’t make your Shopify store GDPR-compliant.
(Learn more)
Analyzify offers a Google Tag Manager setup that is completely GDPR compliant and uses the Google Consent Mode. You will have the GDPR section at the end of your regular setup.

Depends on the store. Merchants are responsible for their stores to be GDPR compliant themselves, as Shopify doesn’t own the stores and doesn’t carry a responsibility to make the stores GDPR compliant.

This is how Shopify explains it on their related page:

As a processor of data, Shopify fulfills its own legal obligations under the GDPR. However, merchants (as controllers) also have their own separate obligations that they must consider.

Shopify provides merchants with a platform that can be configured to be GDPR compliant, but it is up to merchants on how they would like to run their businesses.

Here’s the short answer: Yes and no.

It does help your site to be GDPR compliant, but it can also enable every users’ data to be treated in a different way based on their consent status, processing some of them as anonymous and some of them as normal. Because of this, it is not enough to only use Consent Mode to be GDPR compliant.

No, it is unfortunately not enough.

Although those settings limit the data transfers, they are still not sufficient, as GDPR regulations are much more complex and you need to have many other features to be GDPR compliant as a Shopify merchant.

No. A cookie consent banner is only one of the requirements of GDPR, not to mention most cookie consent banners on Shopify fail the requirements of the banner functions and visuals.

Follow our detailed guideline and checklist to make sure your store is GDPR compliant.

Is Google Tag Manager GDPR compliant?

Although Analyzify is GDPR-compliant as a product, you need an additional tool focused on consent management for your store to be fully GDPR compliant. Once used together with an integrated tool and proper setup, Analyzify is fully compliant.

Yes. To achieve full compliance, you will need an external tool in addition to Analyzify to manage your users’ consent.

To put it simply, the Shopify GDPR app functions as a banner: It connects with Consent API and blocks the data flow regarding the given consent by the user. It does not support the Google Consent Mode, which is the main reason why it does not work with our setup. Google Consent Mode connects with GTM; without it, the user’s consent choice cannot be tracked via GTM. On the other hand, the supported apps include Google Consent Mode, which works as a bridge between Shopify and GTM using both GCM and the Shopify Customer Privacy API. Hence, if you continue with Shopify GDPR, your native integrations, such as UA, will work according to the user’s consent. However, our GDPR setup will not work (since the setup does not include GCM and required events do not pass).

As for our standard setup (without GDPR), if the consent setting is “collected after the consent,” this setting can interfere with the data collection and decrease the accuracy. You can find more information regarding the issue and the supported apps here in this article.

Currently, Analyzify is compatible with the apps GDPR Compliance Center (by Pandectes), Cookiebot (by Usercentrics), and Axeptio (by Tranzistor) as consent management solutions. Because Analyzify works through GTM, and only Google’s Consent Mode enables GTM to be GDPR compliant, we need an app that works through Consent Mode. Apart from the apps listed, we are not aware of any other apps that provide Google Consent Mode, but if you are, kindly let our team know and we’ll check it out.

Analyzify includes the Facebook Pixel tags on GTM. However, we wouldn’t recommend using them unless you have a problem with the native integration or you have a Shopify Plus store.

We strongly recommend using the official Facebook App for your product feed, Facebook Pixel, and Facebook Conversion API setup. The native integration works quite well when the setup is done correctly.

For Shopify Plus stores, we additionally recommend Analyzify’s Facebook Conversion API connection (included in our server-side add-on), as we can send more data than the native integration.

For regular Shopify stores, the native connection is the best solution at the moment.

You can check our Playbook for Shopify & Facebook connections for more information.

We don’t recommend using the native integration and GTM at the same time. You should pause Analyzify Facebook Pixel tags on GTM if you are using the native integration.

Check out our Playbook: Facebook Pixel & Shopify to learn more about the subject.

Our app helps with that and increases the accuracy of your reports. We also provide help so that you can have a proper Facebook Pixel & Ads UTM setup to make sure your data is being passed to Google Analytics + Facebook as much as possible.

However, if you expect 100% accuracy, there is no solution in the market to guarantee that due to user privacy and iOS 14.5 changes that have been around for some time now.

Analyzify's setup works independently from your domain. However, you still need to change some settings on your Google Analytics accounts.

We have a separate article on this matter: Referral Exclusions on Google Analytics (GA4 + UA). You should follow the tutorial with one slight difference in the GA4 section:

  • In the GA4 "Data Stream" settings, make sure to add your new domain to the "Configure your domains" section.
  • As for Universal Analytics, you can just add your domain to the regular "Referral exclusion" section.

Yes! You will own 100% of your data and properties, so you will be able to add tags using our data layer variables, triggers, or even data layer objects.
